After a nationwide search resulting in a terrific Top 10 and a fab Final 4, Bryan Cosham won your hearts and votes to become the creator to represent Cottages & Bungalows this year.
Hello, Cottages & Bungalows family!
I am honored, humbled and beyond grateful to have been chosen as the 2024 Cottages & Bungalows Brand Ambassador, and I can’t wait to show you our cozy little home all year long!
My passion for home décor is rooted in decorating our home to reflect the four beautiful New England seasons and hosting gatherings for our family and friends. I hope that you’ll feel as welcome in our little cottage throughout the year as our guests do. My main goal when decorating is that our guests feel comfortable, cozy and find it difficult to leave.
I hope you’ll join me in each issue and find inspiring and creative ways to bring coziness to your home and the gatherings you host.
Love,
Bryan

CB’s new brand ambassador shares some highlights of his home transformation.
- We moved to our home in Granby, Connecticut, in March of 2020, when the world shut down. Neither my husband nor I were working at the time, which made it easier to be able to spend our time painting, reflooring and moving into our little home.
- Our home was built in 1948 in the quaint little town of Granby. Originally, it consisted of two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, living room and a very small office/spare-bedroom space.
- When I’m not making our home extra cozy or baking up yummy treats, I teach first grade. My husband, Jameson, is an administrative assistant at a high school Counseling Office. We have three dogs: Lily, a teacup Yorkshire terrier; Tucker, a shih tzu; and Rocko, an English bulldog.
- My favorite space in our home is our brand new dining room! I knew this space would be the ideal place for entertaining, one of the many things I enjoy. We added wood beams on the vaulted ceiling, shiplap and open shelving, which gives me so much freedom to change out décor seasonally.
- In the fall of 2020, we renovated our kitchen to add white farmhouse-style cabinetry, black-honed granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a counter bar, and we fully refinished the hardwood flooring on the first floor. We also turned our downstairs full bathroom into a half-bath/laundry room combination, allowing the laundry room to be on the first floor of the home.
- The biggest renovation to our home occurred last year, in the winter and spring of 2023. We added on a two-car garage, a 16-by-16 dining room with vaulted ceilings and an entry from the garage into our home. We then updated the siding to a dark-gray vinyl with white-trimmed windows and black shutters, a paver sidewalk leading to new front steps and new landscaping along the front of the house.
- I’d describe my style as having a vintage, rustic, cottage-farmhouse feel. I love decorating with neutral colors so I can add pops of color to reflect the four wonderful New England seasons we experience in Connecticut. I enjoy thrifting for old rustic pieces to mix in with newer décor.
